Aims and Scope

The Journal of Ayub Medical College, Abbottabad (J Ayub Med Coll, Abbottabad) features scholarly contributions across medicine and allied fields (including all basic medical sciences and clinical specialties), medical education, and the broader biological and biomedical sciences. The journal welcomes a diverse range of submissions, including original research manuscripts (such as randomized controlled trials, meta-analyses, quasi-experimental designs, case-control studies, cohort studies, or analytical cross-sectional work), comprehensive reviews, case reports, book reviews, updates on medical advancements, novel techniques, academic debates, adverse drug reaction reports, current clinical practices, audit and evidence-based reports, short communications, and letters to the editor.
While dedicated to advancing scientific discourse, the journal does not consider manuscripts based on data collected more than five years prior to submission, nor does it accept simple descriptive or KAP (knowledge, attitude, practice) studies. Furthermore, the journal strictly rejects the practice of "salami slicing"—the partitioning of a single research project into multiple, overlapping publications—and discourages authors from submitting separate papers addressing different facets of the exact same study.
Prior to initiating your submission, please ensure that you have thoroughly reviewed our article submission tutorial, familiarized yourself with the comprehensive author guidelines, and prepared all the necessary supplementary documentation required for the process.
